Questions to Ask Before Booking a Reception Site

Getting married is no doubt one of the most exciting times in a couple’s life. As such, the planning process may be a little overwhelming, with figuring out every single detail, so that it will all be perfect. Perhaps one of the most central decisions one will have to do with where one will be holding the ceremony. As such, here are a list of questions to ask regarding the mansion wedding venues in Charleston that one is considering.

    What Does the Cost Include?

Is everything one has seen while visiting included? It could be the case that the current set up of the mansion wedding venue in Charleston is misleading. Not necessarily because it’s trying to be, but perhaps they’re in the middle of organizing another event, and a lot of the things there are from the event organizers. Things one may ask about include lighting, cutlery, sound equipment, and table linens.

Are There Going to be Strangers Around?

Some locations organize several events all at once, which means that the likelihood of there being strangers around, and bumping into them, is quite high. If this is of big importance to the couple, they should make sure to check. In addition, they may also want to ask if there is another event going to happen afterward, so as to know when they have to be out the door by.

Minimum and Maximum Number of Guests

This is important because some mansion wedding venues in Charleston only work with a fixed limit of minimum and maximum, and if one doesn’t fit in that limit, then there’s no point setting one’s heart on that location.

     What’s Allowed?

Another important thing to check is what things are allowed and what not. If, for instance, a couple is thinking of having fireworks at the end, and the location doesn’t allow for it, it’s best to be aware of as early as possible. Other things included in the small print include children, confetti, and naked flames policies. The sooner one finds out, the more time they have to figure out if what the location allows for or doesn’t is a deal breaker.

    Back-Up Plan for Rainy Weather?

For those who are planning an outdoor wedding ceremony, asking about whether they will be able to get some shelter in case it rains is incredibly important, since weather can be quite unpredictable, and the last thing one wants is to have their entire day ruined by wet weather.

    Clean Up?

Some locations will take care of the clean up for the couple, while others require that the couple takes care of such aspects. It’s important to know this ahead of time.
