Pulling off the Perfect Intimate Wedding

Maybe you have recently become engaged, or maybe you have not but are beginning to plan your dream wedding anyways; regardless of which it is, we will not judge you here. What we will judge you on is if you choose to have a large wedding when everyone knows that smaller, intimate weddings are almost always the way to go. It is easier for you, your guests, and most importantly your wallet. Here is what you need to know in order to pull off the perfect intimate wedding.

Do Not Choose a Typical Venue

When you are planning to host a large number of guests, you are often limited in what type of venue you can hold the ceremony in. However, when you decide to drastically cut back on the guest list, you suddenly realize that there are so many other amazing places where you can get married. Look at getting something cute and unusual that will have your guests talking about your wedding for years to come. If you can pick something of significance to you and your fiance, then that would be best, but if not, then you can always choose to look at some historic wedding venues in Charleston.

    Get Creative With Your Food

This does not mean that you should be serving some obscure foreign food at your wedding because that is likely to not go over well with your guests. However, you can get creative with the way in which you serve your food. Instead of choosing to go with your standard catering service, you could opt to get a local food truck to stop by and feed all your hungry guests. It will likely be much cheaper for you, and the food truck will love to have the extra business.

Go Somewhere That is Special to You

Similar to the first tip, you want to make sure that you are getting married in a city or town that you actually want to get married in. With large weddings, you often have to take into account the travel abilities of everyone that you are inviting. When you have a small attendance list, you can often get away with travelling a bit farther for the big day. This is perfect for those individuals who now live far away from their hometown but might want to go back there to tie the knot.

Even if you can’t seem to find a way to host your small wedding in that special place, then at least look at having part of it there. Pack up your bridal party for Charleston and spend a couple days relaxing before your wedding to make sure everyone is less stressed about the event.
