How to Pick the Best Wedding Venue: Important Tips to Remember

One of the toughest decisions to make when planning your nuptials is choosing the venue. Your decision for this can affect all the things involved including your motif, your vendors, your decorations, your guest list, your budget, and even the clothes that you will wear. Therefore, it is important that you check out all options before you make a decision. Before touring all the mansion wedding venues in Charleston, here are some important things to consider.

    1. Number of guests

You should have an estimate of the number of people attending your nuptials. Since your choices have different sizes, they can also accommodate different numbers of people. If you have a huge party, you should narrow down your choices to the spacious ones. Of course, a huge party will not fit in a small space. However, if you want to be practical, try to have a small guest list. You don’t have to invite everyone anyway, just the people really close to you. Therefore, you can stick to your family, close relatives, and your closest friends.

    2. Budget

You and your fiance should talk about how much you are will to spend. Then, do your research so you will know the going rates for everything that you need. This way, you can negotiate better.

Keep in mind that location matters a lot. There are certain locations that are really pricey and may not be within your budget. It is best to stick to your budget and not push beyond it. Set a range you can work with so that it won’t be very limiting.

    3. Date

Your date can affect how much you need to pay for the place of your party. Some months are considered peak season, which means those are the months when it is more expensive to get married. Although it is important to both of you to set a meaningful date, especially if you are both sentimental, you should be flexible if your date highly affects your budget and all other considerations.

    4. Call to check availability

If you already have options in mind and a date, you can start calling up places to see if they are still available. At this stage, you can start making reservations if the place is already available. Some places get booked quickly so it is smart to reserve them well ahead of time.

    5. See if your choice fits your ensemble

You can check photos from past weddings to see if your choice is perfect for all your plans. Before making that downpayment, you should be 100% sure that this is the place you want to get married in.
