Events in Charleston During the Spring and Summer

If one is planning on visiting Charleston, it’s a good idea to know what events are available in the area, so as to get the full experience of all the city has to offer. Indeed, after settling into a B&B in Charleston, and enjoying its museums and culture, it’s great to have a few additional events to go to.

    Party at the Point

After a day of sightseeing (but before heading back to one’s Bed and Breakfast in Charleston), one should consider going to a Happy Hour concert that takes place on the beachfront every Friday. This event includes live music, coupled with drinks and food. This event is great for the entire family, so those traveling with children are welcome to attend.

    Wine Tasting and Garden Strolls

On Wednesdays, one can take a stroll in Middleton Place Garden while tasting different wines, both old and new. This is the perfect way to try different sorts of internationally recognized wines while also enjoying the beautiful nature the city has to offer. This is yet another great thing to do before heading back to the B&B in Charleston one is staying at. Taking advantage of this event can be done at any point throughout the day. However, if one wants to extend the experience into dinner, it will require reservations ahead of time.

    Blues and BBQ Harbor Cruise

Another unique thing one can enjoy before heading back to their Bed and Breakfast in Charleston is going on a sunset cruise. This is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious BBQ buffet and drinks, together with music and a cruise of the harbor. This two-hour cruise is perfect for the entire family, when they wish to enjoy the beauty of the water, while listening to great music.

    Fort Sumter Sunset

Yet another water tour experience, a sunset at Fort Sumter tour is available in the evening. This cruise introduces individuals to the history of the area, as presented by rangers at the National Park Service. Then, as one enjoys the return trip, they can admire the beauty of the harbor and the marine life it holds while enjoying a southern BBQ dinner. In addition to this, there are cocktails, as well as wine and beer offered.

After settling into one’s B&B in Charleston, there are plenty of things to do and to explore in the city. Knowing what events are happening is important, because it gives one the edge, as it allows them to explore the place like few visitors do. This way, one gets to experience the city in a whole different way.
