A Downtown Charleston Bed and Breakfast…

The Governor’s House Inn, A Downtown Charleston Bed and Breakfast

When you think about the Governor’s House Inn, you may first think of our great location.  We truly love where we are located, and the historic significance makes it even more amazing.  We’re located at 117 Broad Street in downtown Charleston.  We pride ourselves on being one of the most conveniently located bed and breakfasts in downtown Charlestons relative to the historic district, upper king street shopping, and the battery. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast in charleston sc, then you should definitely consider the Governor’s House Inn.

Here’s What We Love about Being a Bed and Breakfast Located in Downtown Charleston, SC

The Proximity to the Battery & The Historic District… Walking from the Governor’s House Inn towards the battery and battery park will show you why Charleston has been a beloved place for so many years.  It is always difficult to define a place by describing it in images and words.  When people ask us at the inn to define Charleston, a walk to Battery Park through beautiful old homes is one experience that always comes to mind. Battery Park provides views of Fort Sumter and the various historic antebellum homes that define the Charleston landscape.  The park is located at the southeastern point of the peninsula, and was originally established as a fort.  It was converted into a park in 1837, but was then used in the Civil War by the Confederate Army as an artillery battery. The Restaurants Our prime location in downtown Charleston also lends itself well to walking to some of the city’s finest restaurants.  Whether you are looking to try some great southern food or enjoy a world-class steakhouse, it’s all in reach from the Governor’s House Inn.  We enjoy being so close to some of the best eats in the city. The following list of great restaurants are all located within a half-mile radius of our bed and breakfast in downtown Charleston, and the information listed is from Google.
