The dog days of summer are officially over, and fall is in the air. It’s a wonderful time of year to be outdoors in Charleston, and the Fall Tour of Homes is one of the best ways to experience the beauty and historic charm of our fair city. The homes and gardens featured in this series are privately owned, and it is a rare treat to get an inside look! Different properties, which highlight a variety of periods in early American history, are featured each day. Guests are welcomed at each tour site by a warm and knowledgeable host. Tours are self-paced and cover up to six city blocks, so comfortable flats are recommended. The 38th annual Fall Tour of Homes begins October 2nd, and tours will occur Thursday-Sunday all month long. A candlelight tour, Homes of the American Revolution, will be held Friday, October 10th. Visit TheFallTours.orgfor a complete list of tours or to purchase tickets. Ticket sales benefit the Preservation Society of Charleston.
