Charleston Tour of Homes to Feature Homes on Kiawah and Seabrook Islands

Charleston Tour of Homes Imagine your dream home in your dream location. That’s what you’ll find during this year’s Charleston Tour of Homes. And it’s bigger and better than ever! For the first time, the 16th annual Symphony Tour of Homes will feature homes on both Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. Several properties from the islands will be included. Hosted by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League (CSOL), the Symphony Tour of Homes has showcased outstanding residences over the years. They are each unique in their own individual ways. It may be their architectural or interior design. In every residence, you’ll see the varied interests and lifestyles of those living inside. It’s all happening on Saturday, November 2. Check in at Freshfields Village, in front of Java Java, beginning at 9:30 a.m. As you tour exceptional homes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., your experience will be enhanced by live music from Charleston Symphony Orchestra League musicians and scholarship recipients. Some of this year’s most promising musicians will include two violinists, Rachel Dawson and Vivian Song. Rachel Dawson has been playing the violin since she was 4-years-old. She has played with the College of Charleston Orchestra for the past three years. Vivian Song is also a CSOL scholarship winner. She has studied the violin for eight years. Following the Charleston Tour of Homes, you can enjoy an ATAX event that’s sponsored by the Town of Kiawah Island! It’s a special concert on The Green at Freshfields Village. The show will feature the Charleston Symphony Orchestra with former Assistant Concertmaster, Stuart Malina conducting. It starts at 5 p.m. The best part about the tour is that proceeds go to a great cause. They will be used to support the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and will help to provide scholarships for student and professional musicians in the Lowcountry. Friends will also be acknowledged in the tour booklet for donations that are specially earmarked for music scholarships. You can save by purchasing your tickets in advance. They are $40 and can be purchased online, at the Kiawah Island Visitors Center, or at Indigo Books in Freshfields Village. Tickets on the day of the tour will be $45. Here’s a list of sponsors for this year’s tour: Camens Architectural Group, Christopher Rose Architects, Buffington Homes, Dyal Compass, Mangan Inc., R.M. Buck Builders, Aqua Blue Pools, Carolina Lanterns and Accessories, Charleston One Source, The French Thistle, Gamble Home Services, Signature Kitchens and Baths, Taylor Agency, S.
