Charleston, South Carolina is already a beautiful city with a rich history. However, for three days in March, the history deepens.
The Annual Antiques Show
The annual Antiques Show in this South Carolina city is a favorite for antique collectors, history lovers, and those with an interest in beautiful and unique items. The show provides a wide selection of items from furniture, jewelry, appliances, art, household items, and even clothing. Additionally, many of these items displayed at the show are hundreds of years old, with previous items shown being from the 17th century. Throughout the show, you can purchase many of the antique items or at various educational events, you can learn and increase your knowledge of past centuries.
In addition to simply enjoying the show, there are other activities antique lovers can enjoy. A preview party is one event where you can meet many antique collectors and other individuals who share your similar interests. The event is held at the Gaillard Center the night before the main event, and features a night of gourmet food and great conversation. There are also small group talks with many designers to learn how to incorporate an antique with your current décor and style of your home.
