A Few Tips to Plan a Bridal Shower

Creating a good bridal party in Charleston takes a bit of work, but it’s well worth it to get the bridal shower together. There’s a certain course of action to take place before choosing from a few historic wedding venues in Charleston. By getting on the right plan, it’ll be a lot easier for the bride to select a set of bridesmaids in their wedding. However, they first need to get the shower together a few months prior to start things off. Here are a few tips to help get it in order.

    Finding a Good Location

For a smaller event, there’s nothing wrong with planning it at home. It keeps things more intimate and comfortable. Maybe the house is brand-new and it can also work as a sort of housewarming to the bridesmaids. However, if the home isn’t an option, maybe a relative will let people over for a few hours. They could have a nice living room which can fit a good amount of people. The advantage is that this cuts down on costs. Just remember to send a card or gift as a token of appreciation for the relative allowing people over during this special occasion. For a bigger party, see what venues are available. Find out the rates they charge and maybe if there are any deals for wedding events. Another thing to do is to send out invitations.

    Send Out Invitations to People

While it’s tempting to send out an evite or some kind of special email, it has a more personal and traditional touch to mail it out to people’s home address. See if there are any good graphic designers that can customize the invitations. This is a nice way to be creative and add a little gloss to everything. If things are on a budget, it’s not a bad idea to find a place with blank invitations and add a touch to it. This shows a bit of care and personality in the presentation. Another thing is to think of what foods to have available.

    Have a Few Key Dishes

For this type of gathering, it’s more of a nice and friendly environment with loved ones. Have a mix between finger foods and a few hot dishes. It’s best to do the cooking with a few family members. This will save money from hiring a caterer to do the work. Also, be open to friends and family bringing some dishes as well. Additionally, there should be a couple of dessert items. Have both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for guests. This is great for the people that want to partake in an adult beverage and those that enjoy just a normal punch.

By making these preparations, it’ll make for a more successful event with loved ones.
