    The 4th of July in Charleston, SC… America the Beautiful!

    July 4 is a great time to visit Charleston, SC and a fabulous time to experience the beaches and waterways that define the landscape of the Lowcountry.  If you haven’t been to Charleston over July 4, you should consider making the trip.  It is definitely worth it.

    Make sure you plan well ahead to ensure you have a place to stay, eat, and celebrate our nation’s independence!  Here are some quick tips on planning for your July 4 vacation to Charleston, South Carolina:

    Book Your Stay As Soon As Possible

    July 4 is a big holiday, and it can typically be difficult to find a place to stay over this time frame. With that said, it is a fantastic time to schedule a vacation with your family, you just need to book as soon as possible.   If you book soon enough, you shouldn’t have a problem.  There are so many festivities, and the weather is usually fantastic, so don’t miss your chance to see one of America’s oldest cities during one of the best times of the year.

    Book Your Restaurant Reservations

    Once again, July 4 in Charleston South Carolina is a big time.  You will want to make sure you have a place to eat if you aren’t attending one of the celebrations on July 4.

    Pick a Location to Celebrate and Watch Fireworks

    Here is a look at some of the various events taking place over July 4, 2012 in Charleston South Carolin to help you pick a location to watch fireworks and enjoy our Independence Day!

    Patriot’s Point 4th of July Celebration.  This is always a great time and a perfect spot to watch fireworks.  It was busy last year, with around 35,000 people, so you may want to get there early!  You’ll have the chance to visit Last America’s National Carrier Aviation Museum, watch a great fireworks display, listen to terrific live bands, and enjoy some great food!

    Free Admission for landside entertainment

    Directions: I-26 to downtown Charleston. Take Hwy. 17 North, cross the Cooper River Bridge and follow signs to Patriots Point.

    North Charleston Fireworks Display and Celebration at Riverfront Park!  This celebration takes place ffrom 3 – 10pm.  You can also expect to enjoy some great live music and food!

    Directions & Time:  1001 Everglades Drive, 3-10PM
