Wake up in your room at The Governor’s House Inn and spend your day exploring the Holy City. You can visit Isle of Palms and walk around historic downtown Charleston, but we do recommend trying out one or all of our favorite Kiawah Island Restaurants!
Ocean Room at The Sanctuary
This is the only steakhouse in the United States to earn both Forbes 4 Star and AAA 4 Diamond ratings. The Ocean Room is Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s premier restaurant. It offers an unparalleled steakhouse experience featuring a variety of signature dishes. There is a dress code at this restaurant. Ladies should wear dresses, skirts or pants paired with a dress shirt, jacket or sweater. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear collared shirts and slacks. Jackets and ties are optional.
The Jasmine Porch exhibits southern charm, sumptuous offerings and sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Stop by for its Signature Sunday Brunch, lunch or dinner. It was named “Best Down Home Cookery” by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report.
La Tela Pizzeria
Located at the crossroads between Seabrook and Kiawah in Freshfields Village, La Tela Pizzeria uses only the freshest spices, herbs and coffee. They use traditional, wood-fired ovens in their casual Neapolitan style pizzeria. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. Choose from tiramisu or homemade cannoli.
King Street Grille
Relax and watch the games with great food and beer in an awesome atmosphere. King Street now has six locations across South Carolina. All of those have countless HD flat screen and large screen TVs. They also host a trivia night weekly.
This is a tropical oceanfront cafe at The Sanctuary. Enjoy poolside dining and a family seaside buffet. Keep in mind Loggerhead Grill is seasonal. Call (843) 768-6253 for reservations.
The Ryder Cup Bar at Ocean Course Clubhouse
The Ryder Cup Bar is more of a relaxed, bar-food dining spot. It has a world class view, especially around sunset. Be sure to try the onion rings. The Ryder Cup has a great bar menu and drinks.
The Atlantic Room at The Ocean Course
Here you’ll have grand sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. This is Kiawah’s signature seafood restaurant. It offers modern American cuisine with an emphasis on fresh regional seafood. Diners can expect a menu comprised of fresh seasonal ingredients, delicious uncomplicated preparations and “taste of the season” dishes. It’s open Thursday through Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
