7th Annual Charleston Fashion Week

Adore fashion?  Then you’ll love Charleston Fashion Week, March 19 – 23 under the tents in Marion Square. The Southeast Tourism Society has named this event a “Top 20 Event for March.”  Emerging 7th Annual Charleston Fashion Weekdesigners from throughout the East Coast will vie for the top prizes in several categories. Past winners and finalists have had their designs shown at New York Fashion Week, in Sports Illustrated, Vogue, and on the TV show Project Runway.  Models also compete and past winners have signed with top New York agencies and appeared in Rolling Stone, GQ Style and Project Runway.  The chic after-parties are a fun place to mingle, see and be seen! Exciting runway events, interactive entertainment, and proceeds benefitting charities cap off this high-style event.

Runway Shows

Opening night debuts with a sexy lingerie show.  Designer semi-finals will be held March 19 – 21 and on March 22nd they will compete for the Grand Prize, awarded on the final day, March 23rd.

Style Lounge

Need a fashion apertif? Each night, the Style Lounge opens an hour before the shows—don’t miss the pre-party held on the ground floor at the Charleston Place Hotel.

Models Competition

CFW has selected 200 finalists from the 800 who auditioned, for its sixth annual Rock the Runway 7th Annual Charleston Fashion WeekModel Competition, held Friday, March 22, 2013. CFW’s model search and competition is designed to provide aspiring models a platform to gain the attention of media, photographers, press, and the top model scouts and agencies in the country. CFW provides training and mentorship, professional experience, and exposure to the industry’s top leaders. Former CFW models have gone on to land contracts with IMG, Elite, IKON, and Ford; they’ve secured highly prestigious jobs with Mercedes-Benz Paris, London, Milan, NY, and Miami Fashion Weeks, WWD, GQ, ELLE, Rolling Stone, America’s Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, Oscar de la Renta, Louis Vuitton, and Marc Jacobs, among others. These 200 men and women, under the training of renowned model coach, Michelle Wood, will walk throughout the week’s 35+ runway shows, including that of Christian Siriano. One male winner and one female winner will be selected on Friday, March 22.

Bridal Show

Charleston Weddings magazine is featuring its highly anticipated sixth annual Spring Bridal Show. The show, part of Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week and presented by Gathering Floral + Event Design, will be held under the tents at Marion Square on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., with shows from 11:30am – 1:30pm. World-renowned designers Anne Barge and Callie Tein of Modern Trousseau will be on hand to show their collections, two of six stellar bridal runway shows that day. Callie Tein of Modern Trousseau, will debut her Spring 2014 collection weeks before the gowns debut at New York’s Bridal Market. Further, Tein will also reveal several gowns exclusive to Modern Trousseau’s flagship Charleston store. The store will also host a champagne reception Friday, March 22, 4-6 p.m., and a bridal trunk show on Sunday, March 24 starting at noon.

Finale After Party

The official finale party will be held March 23 at 10:00 p.m. at 34 Woolfe Street.

Tickets
