Well-known stars Hal Holbrook, Catherine Keener, Jim Caviezel, Tommy Lee Jones,  Marion Cotillard, Sam Shepherd and Matthew Fox are some of the actors appearing in the films.

Adore fashion?  Then you’ll love Charleston Fashion Week, March 19 – 23.  The Southeast Tourism Society has named this event a “Top 20 Event for March.”  Emerging designers from throughout the East Coast will vie for the top prizes in several categories. Past winners and finalists have had their designs shown at New York Fashion Week, in Sports Illustrated, Vogue, and on the TV show Project Runway.  Models also compete and past winners have signed with top New York agencies and appeared in Rolling Stone, GQ Style and Project Runway.  The chic after-parties are a fun place to mingle, see and be seen! Exciting runway events, interactive entertainment, and proceeds benefitting charities cap off this high-style event.

At the height of Charleston’s blooming season, the Festival of Houses and Gardens, March 21 – April 20, is a great opportunity to get a rare look inside Charleston’s gracious homes and hidden gardens. Located in the Old and Historic districts, some of these private residences date to the 18th century and are filled with fascinating history, antiques and art. You’ll have the chance to see homes from the Colonial, Antebellum, Victorian and 20th century eras. Bring your comfortable walking shoes, because the Governor’s House Inn is at the center of it all!
